Payment links

Create a payment request for a reservation or a standalone purpose and follow the link’s own lifecycle. Clear amount, currency and expiry details help the team distinguish an open request from a recorded payment.

Before you start

You need Charge guests permission and a ready guest-payment connection. Amounts above the organization’s threshold require another person’s approval.

  1. In Money > Payment links, choose New payment link and select the reservation, or Not for a reservation for a standalone request. This determines the context staff will see when following the link later.

  2. Check the property, guest name and contact, language, purpose, amount, currency and expiry together. Use the offered stay-balance option only for an eligible stay with an amount due, rather than assuming every link reduces a balance.

  3. Follow Open, Paid, Expired or Cancelled in the payment-link list. Resend an open link to reuse the request, renew an expired link to replace it, or use Cancel when it is no longer needed. Inspect any recorded stay payment separately from the link state.

Check the result

The link appears as Open, Paid, Expired or Cancelled. A supported stay-balance payment has a separate recorded payment result and remaining balance.

Limits and prerequisites

A sent link is not a paid charge or an issued invoice. Airbnb stays use the supported Airbnb collection workflow, not an external payment link.
