Stay payments and balances

Keep money already received visible in the stay’s payment ledger with its actual method and date. Recording a payment updates the financial record; a saved card or guarantee remains a different piece of information.

Before you start

Recording or voiding payments requires the relevant finance permission. Confirm the reservation uses a supported payment ledger.

  1. Read the reservation’s Money tab before adding another entry. Existing payments and the balance provide the context needed to identify which real receipt is still missing.

  2. For money already received, use Record payment and enter the actual amount, currency, method and date. Retain its supporting reference so another person can understand and reconcile the entry.

  3. Recheck the ledger and remaining balance after recording. Keep card-guarantee information separate because having a saved or guaranteed card is not evidence that money was received.

Limits and prerequisites

Recording and voiding local entries do not charge or refund a card.
