Fees and charges

A late check-out is a service, a charge and a payment result. Keeping those details together gives the team a clear account of what Alex requested and what was collected.

Before you start

The card result is unknown.

Use the charge’s supported reconciliation action and provider evidence. Confirm that nothing was charged only after checking. Do not switch methods to bypass an uncertain outcome.

What should I verify?

Verify the charge state and any invoice treatment separately.

What does not happen automatically?

Recording a received payment does not move money. An extra charge and a stay-balance payment have different accounting treatment.

How it works, step by step

Fees and charges

Keep the fee, approval, collection method and financial result attached to the stay.

  1. Open the reservation’s Money tab and choose Add charge. Select a catalog fee or enter the supported charge details.
  2. Check description, amount, currency, evidence and whether this is an extra or an eligible stay balance. Do not record the same event twice.
  3. Submit once and inspect the resulting status. A pending approval needs another person; an uncertain card outcome needs reconciliation before any new attempt.

The stay shows the charge, its collection method and current approval or payment result; invoice treatment remains separate.
