DIAN e-invoicing (MATIAS)Available

DIAN invoices from the reservation, with the right IVA.

In Colombia, lodging revenue needs an electronic invoice validated by the DIAN. Sixto prepares the invoice from the reservation and sends it through MATIAS, an e-invoicing provider. It handles IVA exemption for non-resident tourists, USD stays at the day's exchange rate, credit notes for cancellations and the invoice numbering.

[ WHAT IT DOES ]

What it does

  • Invoices from reservations

A draft is prepared at check-in and sent after check-out. Lodging is one line of nights times nightly price, with the cleaning fee as its own line.

  • IVA exempt or 19 percent

Stays by non-resident foreign guests can be invoiced exempt under the tourism-services rule, with the legal note. Other stays are invoiced with 19 percent IVA. A person can override the decision, and the change is recorded.

  • USD stays at the exchange rate

Invoices are in pesos. A stay paid in dollars uses the official exchange rate (TRM) for the date, locked for the invoice.

  • Credit notes

A cancelled stay can be reversed with a credit note that references the original invoice.

  • Numbering, retries and daily reconcile

Sixto controls the invoice numbers within your DIAN range, warns before the range or the resolution runs out, retries failed sends and checks every day that Sixto and MATIAS agree.

[ HOW IT WORKS ]

How it works

  1. 01

Get your DIAN numbering resolution and set up your company with MATIAS. An Owner stores the MATIAS access token in Sixto, encrypted.

  2. 02

Add each unit's RNT and your guests' invoicing data. Guest ID numbers stay masked.

  3. 03

Review the drafts. A preview shows exactly what will be sent.

  4. 04

Invoices are sent after check-out, and your accountant approves the invoice wording once.

[ FAQ ]

Common questions

Does it work for guests from any country?

It works for the guest countries MATIAS supports. For any other country, Sixto warns you in advance and holds the invoice until it can be issued.

Does my accountant need to check it?

Yes. Your accountant should approve the legal wording on the invoice once.

Can I use another e-invoicing provider?

Sixto is built so providers can be swapped, and MATIAS is the one it works with today.
