ChannexAvailable

One calendar, every channel, switched on unit by unit.

Channex is a channel manager: it connects your availability and restrictions to the online travel agencies and brings bookings back. Sixto connects to Channex so that Sixto's own calendar drives your channels. You choose which units Channex sells, so you can move over gradually. Channex is a channel manager, not a booking engine; direct bookings and Google use Sixto's own booking engine.

Live. Sixto's calendar drives your channels through Channex, unit by unit.

[ WHAT IT DOES ]

What it does

  • Availability and restrictions to the channels

Changes in Sixto are queued, combined into date ranges and pushed within about a minute. A full 500-day sync runs once a day.

  • Bookings back into Sixto

New, modified and cancelled bookings are read from Channex, stored in Sixto, then acknowledged. Each one is processed once, even if it arrives twice.

  • Sold-by switch per unit

For each unit you choose who sells it: Guesty, Channex or nobody. Only an Owner can change it, with a reason, and it is audited.

  • Conflict alerts, no double booking

If a channel booking lands on a night already held, Sixto records a conflict and alerts you. It is never double booked inside Sixto.

  • Combos as request to book

Multi-unit combo listings are request to book. Accepting a request blocks every child unit in one step.

  • Guest messages through Channex

Replies to Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia guests go through Channex Messages, with the same approval outbox as every other reply.

[ HOW IT WORKS ]

How it works

  1. 01

Create your Channex account and an API key. An Owner stores the key in Sixto's credential vault, encrypted.

  2. 02

In Settings > Channels, paste the Channex property ID of each building.

  3. 03

Read your rooms and rates from Channex and map each one to a unit or combo in Sixto.

  4. 04

Create the Channex webhook with a secret header so Sixto wakes up when a booking arrives.

  5. 05

Move one unit first by setting Sold by to Channex. Sixto sends that unit's real availability in one call.

  6. 06

Move the rest when you are comfortable. Moving a unit back closes it on Channex in one call.

[ FAQ ]

Common questions

No. Channex is a channel manager. Direct bookings and Google listings use Sixto's own booking engine.

Can I keep using Guesty while I switch?

Yes, unit by unit. Airbnb allows one channel manager at a time, so each channel switch is done in a scheduled window.
